  • Undoubtedly one of the very finest presentations ever given in Kaysville, was that of “Miralda” by the John S. Lindsay Dramatic company last evening. The house was literally jamed in every part, and during the performance the ring of laughter, and applause, frequently interrupted the players. Mr. Lindsay as the “Yankee,” showed himself a thorough comedian, while Mr. Thomas played the part of “Pedro” almost to perfection. Miss Edith Lindsay, as “Miralda, the Creole” made a decided hit, and altogether the support of the company is unusually good.
  • One of the greatest back-sets to the advancement of our city is the lack of sufficiently commodious hotel accommodations. It frequently happens that visitors have difficulty in finding lodgings, and this condition of affairs naturally produces a prejudice I their minds against Kaysville, which it will not be easy tovercome. By conversing with several of our leading business men, the HERALD correspondent has found that it is their unanimous opinion that a first-class hotel would be liberally patronized, and that it could be made a good investment if taken hold of in the right manner. If some energetic business man will take hold of this matter his success is assured.
  • The Eighth district school concert which is billed for next Wednesday evening, the 18th inst., promises to be one of the very best entertainments of its kind, ever given here.
