June 2024 Announcements

Indigenous Peoples Exhibit Extended

The Indigenous Peoples Exhibit will be on display throughout the summer during office hours at the Kaysville-Fruit Heights Museum of History & Art exhibit space, in the north foyer of the Kaysville City Administration Building.

Children can learn about the lifestyles of native children including what they ate and where the lived. Each child visiting can pick up a beading kit similar to those created by the Shoshone to make a bracelet or necklace (one per child please).  Lanyards courtesy of the Davis County Museums are also available and visitors to all the museums are welcome.

Collaboration with DUP

The KFH Museum collaborates with The Daughters of Utah Pioneers locally to make available beading crafts this summer during the pioneer cabin open house. Similar historical missions combine to illustrate how native and pioneer children enjoyed creative activities. Both organizations welcome scheduled tours. To arrange a guide at the Indigenous Presence Exhibit, email ourkaysvillestory@gmail.com
