Special Access to Bicentennial Art Collection Bestowed by Festival

 KFH Museum Announces

WSU Storytelling Festival Collaboration

In preparation for the nation’s 1976 bicentennial, paintings of Utah’s history were commissioned from well-known northern Utah artists. Now owned by Weber State University’s Storytelling Festival, they had been on display on campus. With the announcement of an agreement between the Kaysville – Fruit Heights Museum of History and Art, special access has been given by the festival to the collection and a mandate to share the art with a wider audience. Children in Davis District’s elementary schools who may have had the chance to attend permormances or participate in storytelling events, will now have the opportunity to view paintings that tell historical stories. The museum is excited for the opportunity to interpret, display, and show to our communities.

A sample exhibit of some of the bicentennial art is now going up in the Kaysville City Administration Building. Plans are being made to exhibit more of these historical paintings. Watch for further announcements.

Due to popular demand, April’s Architecture exhibit has been extended!
Now showing concurrently with the BiCentennial Art Preview.
Don’t Miss out!
